Morpang Waterfall is a stunning view and nice refreshing to swim

Visit Morpang Waterfall in Pai District, a serene natural attraction offering refreshing pools, lush surroundings, and a peaceful escape.

Morpang waterfall or Nam Tok Morpang (Nam Tok in Thai mean Waterfall) is about 8 km out of Pai city in Thailand’s Maehongson province. On the way to this peaceful place you will pass Nam Hu Temple and the Chinese Yunnan Cultural village. The Mor Paeng waterfall is about 15 meter high and it is on of main attractions in Pai.

At Morpang waterfall, you will find a lonely place to read a book, relax or just listen to to sound of nature. The surrounding landscapes are dominated by mountains and high and old trees which spend you shadow from the Asian sun. In front of this waterfall in Mae Hongson province in north Thailand is a jungle pool witch invite the visitors to swim, so toke your swimming gear if you want to refresh under the fresh water of the Mo Paeng waterfall. Bring your bathing suit to dip into the cool waters, or picnic on the rocks while taking in some of the sun’s rays.

If you get to the top of the waterfall. The surroundings are shady, with gigantic rocks to climb and jump from into the fresh pools. Though the rocks around the waterfall are a little slippery to get around on and the waterfall itself was running a little low, beware of the slippery rocks. There are a few pools where you can swim and even a portion that the bravest use as a slide ramp.

See, local kids were jumping into the pool from the rocks above, and we swam in the large upper pool, which was clean, clear, and refreshing. It is incredibly fun to slide down the rock along the waterfall; you should try it, Make sure you are sliding off the correct waterfall because there are 3 tiers, and 2 of them are most definitely not safe to slide off. If you wanna stay dry and just enjoy the warmth, there’s no shortage of places to sunbathe.

How to get there?

To reach Mor Paeng Waterfall from Pai town center, follow these steps:

  1. Head West on Route 1095: Depart from Pai by traveling west on Route 1095 for approximately 3 kilometers.
  2. Turn Right onto the Road to Ban Santichon: Look for signs indicating Ban Santichon (Chinese Yunnan Cultural Village) and make a right turn.
  3. Continue Through Ban Santichon: Drive through the village, following signs for Mor Paeng Waterfall.
  4. Proceed for About 7 Kilometers: Continue on this road for approximately 7 kilometers until you reach the waterfall.

The total distance is around 10 kilometers, and the journey typically takes about 20-30 minutes by scooter or car. The road is paved but has some steep sections, so drive carefully.
